The common problems with precision spot welding machines during welding are: incomplete melting of the welding points and splashing during welding, which leads to weak welding of the spot welding machine. So, in the actual use of spot welding machines, attention should be paid to the following matters.
1、 Overheating of precision spot welding machine:
1. Check if the insulation resistance between the electrode holder and the body is poor, causing a local short circuit.
2. Check whether the inlet pressure, water flow rate, and water supply temperature are suitable, and whether the system is blocked by dirt, which may cause overheating of electrode arms due to poor cooling.
3. Check if the contact surface between the copper flexible joint and the electrode head is severely oxidized, causing an increase in contact resistance and severe heating.
4. Check if the welding thickness and load duration meet the standards to prevent the welding machine from overheating due to overload.
2、 Improper spatter occurs during precision spot welding:
1. Check if the current is too high or the pressure is too low.
2. Insufficient strength of welded workpiece: During welding, the current becomes smaller and smaller, resulting in weak welding.
3、 The solder joint is not fully melted, and the formation of fusion nuclei is poor or not formed:
1. Incomplete fusion refers to the absence of a "bean like" fusion zone during spot welding. This defect is very dangerous as it greatly reduces the strength of the solder joint.
2. Debug welding parameters. If the parameters have been confirmed to be correct, it is necessary to check the main power supply circuit, such as whether the power supply is sufficient and whether the welding transformer is damaged.
