Ultrasonic welding is the physical connection of the welded metal at room temperature by using the high-density energy generated by ultrasonic high-frequency mechanical vibration to produce plastic deformation on the workpiece surface and destroy the surface layer under pressure. Although ultrasonic welding will destroy about 3% of the film, it is relatively good in heat conduction efficiency because it is a continuous non melting welding. At the same time, in terms of material cost, ultrasonic welding has certain advantages. Ultrasonic welding is suitable for thin products. The copper plate of the international mainstream flat product is generally between 0.12mm-0.2mm. In order to consider the material cost, some enterprises now choose aluminum plate and ultrasonic welding can choose 0.2-0.3mm.


Laser welding is suitable for thick materials. If aluminum plate is selected, the thickness is generally 0.4mm, resulting in higher material cost. In fact, the two welding technologies have their own advantages. Enterprises should choose the more appropriate welding equipment according to their own actual situation, rather than generally evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the two welding technologies.
